Frustrated Thomas Tuchel tears into record signing Romelu Lukaku after Chelsea lose 0-1 to Man City at the Etihad leaving them 13 points behind in title race

  Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel cut a frustrated and angry figure as he watched his side fall 13 points behind Manchester City in the English premier league titles race after losing 1-0 at the Etihad on Saturday, January 15. It was Man city talisman, Kevin De Bruyne who made the difference with a beautifully crafted shot from the outside of the box after 70 minutes. City has now won 12 league games in a row and looks strong to defend its Premier League title. Tuchel has now laid into Chelsea's record signing Romelu Lukaku and the German did not mince his words after Lukaku missed Chelsea's big chance at the start of the second half with their only shot on target. Man stabbed to death after disagreement with bouncer at Lagos nightclub

A yet-to-be-identified Nigerian man has died after he was allegedly stabbed to death in Lagos following a fight that broke out at a nightclub located in the Iju area of the state.   According to The Cable, the incident happened at Lounge 95 in the early hours of Saturday, January 15. A resident of the area claimed the victim had a disagreement with the bouncer and this led to a fight.   “The guy was stabbed at the club after a disagreement with one of the bouncers at the club. After his death, his friends or some people that knew him came to the police, before the police came to the place” he said   Olamide Ogunlewe one of the police officers on the ground, said an investigation was ongoing on the case.

  Activist, Oluyemi Fasipe, has shared the sad story of a Nigerian woman who was conned to leave Nigeria for Cairo for greener pastures by a man she met on Facebook.   The said lady however found herself in Sudan where the man turned her into his sex slave until she got her pregnant. After he realized she was pregnant, he bundled her out of his house and sent her by car to Cairo where she was repeatedly raped by different men until she lost her pregnancy   . Sowore secures freedom for man they say was illegally detained by police

  Former presidential candidate and agitator for good governance in Nigeria, Omoyele Sowore has secured freedom for a man that they say was falsely detained by the Police in Abuja. Sowore who was informed of the man’s plight by one of his compatriots yesterday, stormed the police Headquarters to get the man released. As commented by the detained man's relatives, he was locked up in custody for 2 weeks with an allegation from a ‘big man’. They said the story turned around with Sowore’s presence at the Police headquarters and the man’s bail was immediately granted. Sowore, speaking after the man’s release, said he will continue to stand and speak for the voiceless Nigerians till the issue of balance equality of rights is achieved.

AFCON 2021: Nigeria 3-1 Sudan: Super Eagles qualify for second round after convincing win

It was another convincing win for the Super Eagles of Nigeria after they recorded a 3-1 win over the Falcons of Sudan on Saturday, January 15, 2022.   Two first-half goals from Samuel Chukwueze and Taiwo Awoniyi plus a Moses Simon strike in the second ensured the Eagles maintained a strong grasp of Group D leadership with six points from their first two matches while also confirming their place in the second round of the ongoing African Cup of Nations  In the second half, the Sudanese rallied and pulled back a goal from the penalty spot after an error from Ola Aina but it wasn't enough..   The Eagles started with the same starting 11 that won against the Pharaohs last Tuesday.  Samuel Chukwueze scored the opening goal after just three minutes of intense pressure from the Super Eagles as he coolly slotted past the Sudanese goalkeeper after a precise pass from Moses Simon.   Mohamed Al Rashed tried his luck from 25 yards but Maduka Okoye made a comfortable sav
